YTC Yoga Training Courses Set A

YTC200-A

This is YTC200A – the first installment of a six part course.

This first set includes the first Yoga Training Course, which is very comprehensive and individually costs $395.

Foundations – Level One

The first step on the path toward becoming a yoga teacher or simply deepening your practice, YTT Foundations (Level One) provides the tools to create inspiring vinyasa yoga classes grounded in proper alignment and the safety of exercise science.

  • What you will learn:
Forty-six fundamental YogaFit poses needed to teach an inclusive, well rounded, and safe yoga class to students for all ages, fitness levels, and experience
The physical execution, transitions, and modifications for each pose to ensure that it is safe and effective for every body type
To create dynamic vinyasa sequencing and flowing class formats based on YogaFit’s three-mountain class structure
To use transformative language to communicate how each pose connects the mind and the body
To teach what you’ve learned within a nurturing and supportive classroom setting

While there are no prerequisites for this course, we do require that all attendees read Beth Shaw’s YogaFit prior to attending. This book explains the foundation of our entire teacher training program, and allows for better overall understanding of the material covered in our YTT Foundations (Level One) Training.

Please email edu@yogafit.com with any questions about YTT Foundations (Level One)! We look forward to seeing you on the mat.

Level 1 Community Service Hours
Congratulations on finishing the first 18 hours of our YogaFit Teacher Training program! In order to complete the YogaFit Teacher Training Program, each trainee must perform eight (8) hours of practice teaching. That’s 8 hours of teaching, utilizing YogaFit Level I Teacher Training skills, to a group of people who normally do not have the opportunity to experience the benefits of yoga. YogaFit Trainees have taught people from all walks of life. This Community Service Program gives us the opportunity to hone our teaching skills in a casual environment, while giving the gift of yoga to an appreciative group. It is truly a win-win situation for all involved and a benefit for our communities. Once you have completed your Community Service, please complete the following: • A Personal Letter outlining your community service experience, including specific dates and location of where classes were taught • A Verification Letter verifying the 8 hours taught, including specific dates. Letter must be signed by the facility/location where classes were taught or by the class participants You will submit your personal letter and verification letter as part of the final module of the program
