Description
Focusing on lower body anatomy, our first practice delves into folds and standing poses to build strength and suppleness. Our second practice looks at the upper body, deepening our awareness in twists and backbends. Seeing modifications and hearing anatomical cues in both classes. We also have a general review of basic anatomy and kinesiology as it relates to yoga, including: bones, joints, muscles and bhandas. The last segment is the kinetic chain, or how it all connects. Using these tools, we explore the amazing possibility of a pain free practice. Learning about anatomy gives us the opportunity to connect mind and body in a unique way.
