Biography
Christine Yanke is a Trauma-informed E-RYT 500, Yoga Alliance Continuing Education Provider (YACEP), Certified YogaLean Coach, and has been a certified Fitness Instructor Specialist since 1996. She is also a Certified Positive Psychology Coach.
Christine specializes in yoga for women in addiction/ptsd recovery. She has been a guest speaker in mental health conferences, hospitals, yoga studios and addiction facilities openly sharing her story of resilience. Her story reached thousands of people in 2018, when she was featured in Canadian Living magazine.
She is a co-author of clinical research gathered on yoga interventions for women with substance use abuse disorder in a residential treatment program that was officially published in 2021. This research can be found with the National Center for Biotechnology (NCBI) and in SAGE Publication Journals.
Christine is a mental health advocate and was the 2021 Community Champion spokesperson for the largest event series in Canada (Run for Women) dedicated to women’s mental health, which took place in 18 cities across Canada.
